All five are free. None of them are in the manual.
1. Write a scan protocol and stick to it
Same room, same position, forehead rest and chin pad every time, hair secured the same way, make-up removed. Never compare a comprehensive five-zone scalp scan against a single free-schema zone.
Without this, your comparisons across visits are not comparisons. With it, they are your most valuable asset. More on protocol.
2. Edit the report before the client sees it
Self-editing mode exists so the document is yours. Hide indicators irrelevant to this client, annotate what matters, adjust the wording to your voice.
An unedited seventeen-indicator printout overwhelms. Three annotated indicators persuade.
3. Always send the QR report
The decision often gets made after the client leaves, and frequently with someone else in the room. If the report is on their phone, you are present for that conversation. If it is a printout on your desk, you are not.
4. Book the re-scan while they are still sitting there
The second scan is the whole point of the tracking features. Book it at the end of the first one, framed as reviewing progress rather than a sales appointment. That is what turns comparison modes from a feature into revenue.
5. Read your own analytics
The backstage dashboard reports footfall, age distribution, gender ratio and problem proportions across five severity levels. That tells you what your client base actually presents with — which services to promote, and which to stop.
Most clinics never open it. It is genuine business intelligence sitting unused inside a machine they already paid for.
The pattern
Every one of these is about what happens around the scan, not the scan itself. The imaging is solved — eight spectra, scored indicators, colour-coded maps. Whether that becomes revenue depends on protocol, editing, handoff, follow-up and paying attention to your own data.
Frequently Asked Questions
We bought an analyser and barely use it. What now?
Usually the cycle takes too long for the appointment slot, or the report was never edited down to something a client can absorb. Fix the protocol and the editing before considering different hardware.
How do I get clients to come back for a second scan?
Book it during the first visit, framed as reviewing progress. The comparison modes only create value if a second scan actually happens.
